help to buffer grandma from the chilly evening on Orcas Island. -Gerrit

Weekend away

A couple weekends ago, Sarah and I left the boys with their cousins
for a weekend in Friday Harbor. We biked onto the ferry, which was
convenient. Here is Sarah on that Saturday standing in British camp.
We toured the island on bike - a good 25+ mile trek. -Gerrit

It has been a warm winter, allowing us some meals out on the deck. -

Easter egg hunt

Sunday was Rita's Easter egg hunt. Very fun. I thought we'd end up
soaked, but the good weather held until right as we were leaving (or
maybe we left when it started to downpour). -Gerrit

On Sunday, Henry and max colored Easter eggs at grandma janet's. We
were on a tight schedule, so it was but a short stop for us between
other parties. The boys had a great time, and were reluctantcto
leave. -Gerrit

Waiting for the ferry

We are on our way to orcas, but are a wee bit early to the ferry
terminal at Anacortes. So, jess, Joe, Henry, max and I are killing
some time on the beach by the terminal, waiting fir our boat. Nana
and grandma are in the car ready for the boat to come to. -Gerrit

Well, this is our last official year in preschool. Katie Dog was
looking beautiful in her fancy dress.

Conferences this week, so henry and I hung out in the afternoon while
max was at preschool. He's doing the placemat activities at harmons,
his favorite restaurant, where we ate lunch. -Gerrit

Cycling

The boys and I bicycled to a bridge closed to cars for some Sunday
morning fun. Sarah is taking the boys to a b-day party for one henry's
friends later, then a family birthday party for Sarah this evening
(I'll be home cooking homemade mexican food for the feast). -Gerrit
