Another park

Max has a fever, so it is just Henry and me. We found a park in
Utrecht with this odd barrel thing. It was also fenced and had
specific hours. We made it for a half hour before closing at 5:00.
It had lots on preschool age things, including tricycles with
trailers, side cars, and 2nd seats behind the driver.

A park

Found a big park with a very nice playground, but the playground was
fenced in with specific hours, ans closed every Monday, when we
happened to be there. So, we explored a the part of the park that led
to the canal.

Boat ride

Gerrit Nijland (my 1st cousin twice removed) and his wife took us for
a canal cruise in Utrecht. A very interesting city. Originally built
by the Romans about two thousand years ago as a fortification on the
Rhine, it was a trading center until the Rhine was dammed and shifted
course in the 14th century. It is also the religious center of the
Netherlands.

My Grandfather's cousin is very nice, and was fun to meet. He was a
naval architect during WWII and after, designing and repairing all
sort of ships.

A photo Henry took on put canal tour.

Ah, vending machines

At some train station. We often buy Max chocolate milk from vending
machines, and H always wants something too.

Cool zoo playground

Climbing fun.

Penguins at the Zürich zoo

We have a day in Zürich, and we're spending it at the zoo. It is a
huge zoo. Should be fun.
