Ajax for a visit

Ajax is staying with us for a week. He is showing his age, but is
generally a pretty happy dog despite his failing body. He gets lots
of vitamins and medicines, which the boys love to dose out to him.
Here is Henry preparing Ajax's morning meal/drug cocktail. -Gerrit

Ducks and a day out

Another fun day for Max and me. First we biked up and dropped Henry
off at school. Leaving our bikes there, Lucy walked home with us to
play, then Max went to play at lucy's for a bit. I picked up max and
we took the bus to point defiance park, where we had a picnic with the
preschool. Then we walked down to the ferry dock for the preschools
annual ferry ride field trip. Back on the bus to henrys school, then
biked home. Dinner, then we biked back to the school for a PTA
meeting (where the boys play in the gym suing the meeting). -Gerrit

Mothers day dinner

Five mothers, a couple of grandpas, the boys and I ate a mothers day
dinner at Falls Terrace in Olympia. It was a nice meal. The French
fries were great, as was the salad. They had no vegetarian options,
so I went for the fried oysters. The oysters were fine, but it
reminded me that if you are going to eat seafood, it tastes better
with less cooking and is best when raw. -gerrit

Bonfire last night

Had a little marshmallow roast and smores last night. Some of the
effects shown here. Friends with small children are coming for dinner
tonight, so should be another wily evening with fun and chaos.
Luckily our boys are old enough for their chaos to happen away from
me, hopefully leaving some fun chatting with friends for me. -Gerrit
